Day 6 Las Vegas trip report starts at Fremont. I am up early today to go to the spa at Flamingo. I need a break from all the losing. My breakfast was some left over chips from Saginaws that I have been holding onto for a couple of days. Then off to Flamingo we go!
I booked a Happy Feet Remedy. I had this on my last trip and it was great then, and it was great now.
After the spa, I obviously got Starbucks and went to visit my Buffalo slot machine at Linq. Someone is playing it. Fine, I will play another machine with you in my line of sight. Holy shit this chick had a death grip on my machine. I am not leaving. I won’t be back around here for the rest of the trip, so I wait her out.
Some guy comes up to her with a bunch of to go food, including boxes of pizza. I think okay, she is going to get up now. Nope. She is playing and keeps hitting bonuses. When she does, she stops and sits back to watch. Forever. She sat there with her food getting cold for a good half hour before she fucking FINALLY got up. MINE.
I walked back to Flamingo to try my Buffalo slot machine here and she is GONE. Fine, fuck you.
I got an Uber and went to Stratosphere. My driver was a very nice woman, who it turns out, hates people as much as I do. Not at all surprising considering what she does for a living.
I grabbed lunch at Strat Cafe. I thought I had enough points for lunch but I only had $1 in comps on my card. So I paid for lunch. Such a travesty in Las Vegas.
I got Starbucks and then played around a bit in the casino. Some woman offered me $5 for a cigarette. I said no, she bumped it up to $20. I still said no. Because whenever someone offers you something, and you say yes, they just ask for more. She was here with her husband who doesn’t want her smoking so she just buys cigarettes off people and smokes occasionally when he is not looking. Well, don’t marry some dude who tells you what you can do? I am sorry lady, I am not giving you anything.
The casino seems a lot smaller than I remember. It feels like the north end is simply missing. Am I crazy?
I played a bit of everything. My only decent hit:
I absolutely could not get an Uber or Lyft, no cars available. I ended up having to take a taxi. I hate taxis. I got dropped off at Four Queens and visited the dollar machine from last night I should not have been playing, and most certainly should also not be playing today, but oh well.
Before leaving, I collected my last 2 rewards from the Four Queens app. $100 credit for Hugo’s and $15 for Magnolias.
Crossed the street to Fremont. Got a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee and chocolate Long John and went to my room.
I called Hugo’s at Four Queens to try and make a reservation for tomorrow and there is nothing available. They have an opening tonight so tonight it is. I take a nap before my reservation.
Hugo’s is very well known, I probably don’t have to tell you about it. I was given the rose that I did not want. I don’t drink alcohol in Vegas, I didn’t want an appetizer. I did not want their table side salad. I watched a video on how they make it and I don’t want to touch anything that may have touched anchovies.
I had filet mignon and a baked potato. Both were perfect. No desert for me, thanks. No not even considering that it is free. I drank so much water here. Probably about 8 glasses of water. This place is absolutely not under any circumstances the type of place where you are in and out quickly. It is an experience. I am not an experience person so I just experienced drinking a ridiculous amount of water.
Played some Buffalo somewhere, no idea where, but got this:
Good night Las Vegas.
