Good morning Las Vegas!  Oh god I hate working from Vegas.  Oh god you must all hate reading me whine about the same thing all the time.

There is a weird thing happening in my room here at Rio.  When I sleep, I am woken up by a smell of citrus scented cleaner.  It smells like the exact brand my landlord uses to wash the floor outside my front door.  It is STRONG and in the middle of the night.  I suspect someone next door is smoking weed in their room, because I can also smell that, and trying to cover it up with spray.  It wakes me up when the scent kicks in.  This is the first time I’ve ever experienced something like this.

And speaking of smells in hotel rooms – my perfume opened in my bag and my room now smells AMAZING to me, but might not to the next guest if they do not the smell of my spilled perfume.  I hope they do!

I woke up this morning and went to get coffee.  I am checking out tomorrow and have to use up my resort credit so this meant waiting on the line to order face to face vs using the app.  Please hotels and casinos PLEASE find a way to charge mobile orders to the room.

I didn’t play before work.

After work – my plans were to go to Gold Coast to take adantage of 10x points for being old.  But I love the Rio casino so much that I want to play here.  What to do?  In the end, I went to Gold Coast as it made it easier to stop at Walgreens on my way back to get some water for my next hotel.  This makes my life easier to not have to move hotels and THEN go shopping for water.

And BAM.

Holy shit!

I got it up to $500 and cashed out.  Fun fact – I wanted to keep playing forever because I get 10x points today but you know what?  I’d never get $500 in comps so why not keep the $500?

I went back to Rio and YOU GUYS.

Now let’s do it with quarters!

I got one more nice win before quitting:
I checked out my account on the television at Rio and they charge you sales tax on all your comped room charges. That annoys me.

Rio has a bunch of places to eat but they are open at inconvenient hours if you are working from Vegas.  They have Hash House a Go Go that is not open before or after my work day.  Starbucks is open early, which is great.  But I don’t really want to eat at Starbucks every single god damned day.  I have been eating Kind bars for breakfast.  Hey this might be a good place to put an Amazon affiliate link so maybe I can get some pennies via commission?  THIS is my breakfast.

When I move downtown tomorrow, I can actually eat hot meals before work because both Saginaws at Circa and Market Street Cafe at California are open 24 hours.  Although it looks like Saginaws doesn’t serve breakfast until after I start work.

I am also dying to stop drinking Starbucks and start drinking Dunkin Donuts.
