Good morning Las Vegas! I woke up 3 minutes late for work which is always wonderful.  Thankfully I have coffee in my refrigerator.

Work, work meh.

I gambled a total of zero today before I got off work.  I have the Lucky Duck promotion tonight where I will win anywhere from $50-$100.  Then I move to Luxor and I have $225 freeplay there + $25 MyKonami freeplays at Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

Although I have a plethora of Downtown comps, I am going to save those for my Fremont stay later in this trip.  I probably won’t need or use them because I also have Fremont dining credit.  So maybe I should eat down here and then use whatever is left of my MGM credit to go shopping at Starbucks to bring with me to Wynn.

I have $250 dining credit at MGM properties as well.  I wanted to try a new to me place every meal but went to Citizens at Mandalay Bay because while not my favorite, I rememeber them fondly for actually being open during Covid, when just about everything else was closed.

I have a one bedroom suite at Luxor.  I almost booked a Pyramid suite and last minute changed my mind for a tower suite.  The tower suites are nicer, but I appreciate the kitsch of the old Egyptian furniture.

Lucky Duck Promotion went well for me.  There were 6 prizes for $500, all were won before I got to choose my duck.  Most people got $50-100, but I picked a duck worth $250 in free play.  It was not going to be available until 6:00 so I had an hour to kill.   Honestly, I would have just left and came back but it needs to be used in 72 hours and I won’t be back Downtown until Wednesday.

I killed time by eating dinner at Victory Burger at Circa.  And then it was time to PLAY!

I decided to do $50 in Buffalo and turned that into $40.  Then single line quarter Double Double Bonus video poker.  Was working to cash out even money but then I hit back to back full houses for the win.

Since I am already a millionaire, I can do whatever I want with the next hundred so I stayed on UX and lost it.

I’ve literally gambled zero dollars and am up $340.  And I still have $250 in free play to use tonight when I move to Luxor. I wasn’t sure if I was going to get the Luxor free play since I sometimes get it multiple times when I stay multiple times, I sometimes do not.  The thing is that you are supposed to make sure you book a new offer.  They change over the 1st of the month.  But even with being dilligent about doing that, I have sometimes not gotten the freeplay multiple times.  But I checked in on the app and can see I got it.  Hopefully I’ll get it again when I stay at Vdara next week.

I took an Uber to Luxor. My digital key wont work in the elevator. Thankfully someone else was going to my floor and also BONUS the digital key let me in my room.  When I went back down to get a physical key and Starbucks, maybe 5 minutes later, there was a techician working on the elevator I could not get the digital key to work on.  So maybe it was broken.

To get a physical key, you use a kiosk.  I could not figure out the kiosk. But I was doing better than the guy next to me who was trying to scan his Expedia confirmation.  Some kind woman helped me and I got my key.

My beautiful suite that is absolutely wasted on me.

I went down to use the freeplay and it was a shit show.  I absolutely should have saved it for tomorrow since I have brunch booked at Aria and Aria, Bellagio and Cosmopolitan are my faves and it is good there too.  I hate Luxor.  They took away the one machine that actually ever gave me money here.  And so I lost all the free play, turning it into a whopping $50 and then turned that $50 into aggravation and shame.

Off to bed I go.  I was supposed to keep my weekends clear so I could sleep without an alarm but I booked brunch tomorrow so alarm it is.  Bleh.

I am not proofreading this post because I don’t have time and if I wait, we run the risk of this post joining the 100+ of it’s buddies sitting in my drafts folder.
