Las Vegas Trip Report: Annoying Day

If you have been reading my Las Vegas trip reports for awhile, you know I always have an annoying day, where everything is annoying.  Today was that day.

Today is also a day I can actually sleep in while in Las Vegas.  I love sleeping in!  I could not get out of bed. Just wanted a cigarette. Refusd to go smoke without showering.  Could not shower without a cigarette.  Terrible cycle that I am not even kidding when I said it took me two hours to finally just get up and shower already.

I got breakfast at Pyramid Cafe.  It was very busy but even busier as I was leaving.  I got in just in time.

After, it was time for Starbucks.  Luxor Starbucks does not make drinks correctly.  Or maybe they do and other places don’t and I prefer the wrongly made drinks from other places?  I worked at Starbucks for half a day before walking out.   They want there to be consistency at every store in the world.  You should walk into any store anywhere in the world and get exactly the same thing you would get back home.  Fail.

Out of all the Las Vegas Starbucks, Aria is best.  They make strawberry acai refreshers great, and they also never hand me black coffee with oatmilk where the coffee is still black.  Luxor does not do either of these things well.

The hallways smell like weed. Do these people get charged a smoking fee? I’d pay $250 to smoke in my room if it were offered as an option rather than a fine.  Like “want to smoke?  That’ll cost you $250.”  Sign me up.

I walked over the New York, New York.  There were two shit head kids being shit heads.  They were walking in front of me and every time I moved to the left or right to pass them, they would jump in front of me and block me.  Eventually I called them shit heads aloud and told them to MOVE IT.  It was at this point that their parents decided to pay attention and get them to stop it but they still would not so I had to yell “FUCKING MOVE IT” and they finally did.

In New York, New York, I had to kick some people off Moolah as they were just sitting and not playing.  I lost my money and left mad.  Some woman smacked into me and she dropped her water bottle and was somehow mad at me?  Don’t worry, I told her she was the asshole.

Over to MGM Grand to catch the monorail to Sahara.  The monorail comes and is going at a pace slower than those large families who have to walk side by side, blocking the entire sidewalk.  Then it stops at Ballys and….stops.  And sits.  Just sits.  Forever.

I am in a car with a woman who does not like this.  She goes a bit paranoid when the station doors close but the doors to the actual car we are in do not close.  She uses the emergency telephone.  We are then asked to leave the monorail.  It pulls out without us.  Then comes back on the same track about 10 minutes later and never leaves.  It was there for about half an hour before I said fuck this and abandoned my Sahara plans.

I took the bus back to Luxor and vowed to never leave my room again.  Nap time!

When I woke up, I decided to go to Mandalay Bay for dinnner at Citizens.

There was so much sportsball going in.  When I got off the elevator at Luxor, they all blocked the door so I could not exit the elevator.  Time to call people twats and tell them to MOVE OUT OF THE FUCKING WAY.

All night long, all you saw were sportsball masses.  All you heard were people screaming “RAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIDERS.” Ugh.

I played my Dancing Drums on the way to eat.  YAY.

I then lost my win on my way out BOOOOOOOOOOO.

I have to work again tomorrow.  I only have to work 3 more days this trip and then I have 5 free days.  Realizing  this, I was also surprised to realize I am not doing the thing I always do, which is get upset at how fast my trip is going.  I normally go into crisis mode once I hit the mark where my time left is in single digits. I don’t even care on this trip.  This is so unusual.

I found this photo on my phone. I found it interesting it tells you when the progressives last hit.

And the itinerary:

There will likely not be an update tomorrow.  I am checking into Encore tonight and since I refuse to pay a resort fee, I will not have wifi.   Sometimes hot spots work there, sometimes not.
