Note: This is an older Las Vegas trip report that I am posting for the entertainment of Las Vegas addicts and anyone else who loves fun. It was written back in 2005. Most of this information is now outdated and some places mentioned no longer exist.
Sunday, June 12, 2005 – Day Eight of Ten
Woke up at 6:00 am at the Riviera and went downstairs. I know the buffet at the Riviera is gross. It’s so gross. But I still have some food credit left so why not? Ugh, why did I do this? Why didn’t I go to Kady’s Coffee Shop? The buffet is so horrible. It’s just bad. Really bad. Nothing is cooked right. They had “potatoe skins.” They can’t even spell. I wanted to get a donut but my stomach forbade me to do so.
Check out and take a cab to the Sahara, my next hotel of the trip. Here I get room 2288 in the Tangiers tower. Nothing special at all.
It’s time to do a “casino crawl”. Again, it’s $5 in every casino. I love doing this because it takes a lot of time and when you are not having a winning trip; it’s good to kill time.
First stop Sahara! Get $15 for my $5 and head to the monorail. Take it to MGM Grand and start here. Here is how it went:
MGM Grand- lose on video poker
Tropicana – lost on video poker
Mandalay Bay – play a Lucky Seals slot machine and get a bonus for $34.20. Then immediately hit for 600 credits (penny machine.) Cash out $40.
I break for lunch at Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay. The food is exceptional, as always.
Back to my casino crawl!
Luxor – lose on a penny Kaboom slot machine
Excalibur – lost on video poker
Monte Carlo – lose on video poker
From here I take the tram to the Bellagio and pass through the conservatory
Lose at the Bellagio on video poker
Aladdin – play Gilligan’s island and keep winning. Cash out $25.
Paris – win $15 on a penny Uncle Sam slot machine
Ballys – lose on video poker
Barbary Coast – lose on a penny Password slot machine
Flamingo – lose on a penny It’s a Puzzle slot machine
I give up and take the Monorail back to the Sahara.
I win $30 at the before going to bed, on nickel video poker.
Head back to the room and call it a night.
