Las Vegas trip report day 7. Not sure how I have been here for a week already when I just got here.
I was up at 4:30 at The D, where I stayed because smoking. I am still checked into Circa and walk over there to shower with their incredible water pressure. I thought I had left my toothpaste here, but did not. It is also not in my room at The D. So now I have to go to Walgreens.
When I checked out, Circa tried to charge me for the room. I paid through Orbitz. So that took a bit. This is what happens when you stay at a hotel on opening night, which is completely fine.
I decided to play $100 on Buffalo because degenerate. I got some bonuses, but never hit a cash out point.
Back towards The D, I opted to skip Dunkin Donuts to get McDonalds and they are not open. Neither is the coffee cart by the elevator. Now I am “at” work and starving, with back to back to back meetings for the next six hours.
Work was painful as I was exhausted, but got to break for iced coffee when a meeting ended early.
I thought dinner was going to be at Fremont because I have a $10 credit I got from their kiosk earlier this week. But the Paradise Cafe closes at 3:00 and I discovered this at 3:00.
Four Queens it is! Starving. I ordered the New York Sirloin. It was so good. I didn’t take photos before shoving it into my face. I paid with comps.
After, I thought I would play a little at Four Queens and then go back to The D to do the bulk of this night’s play. Instead I went completely fucking degenerate at Four Queens and lost my entire day’s budget in about 15 minutes. NOOOOOOOO.
I went to Walgreens for water and came back to my room. Realized I did not buy toothpaste. I am too fucking tired for this.
Housekeeping cleaned the room even though I assumed they were not going to do that because of Covid. So I hadn’t left a tip. Don’t they normally come in the morning? I left the room at 2:55. See also, I do not have a Do Not Disturb sign so I really thought there wasn’t going to be housekeeping with Covid. Sigh.
I grabbed some cash because of course I did and went back out to gamble. Gotta earn my keep I guess. I vow that tonight will be the last night of this trip I dare to put a $100 bill into any machine except for my Buffalo machine at Linq later this trip.
I started out at a Buffalo Wonder 4 where the jackpot was close to $7k. It is normally in the low $2000s. BONUS. There was a pug standing next to it. For real, there was A PUG standing in the casino next to the Buffalo machine with the insanely high jackpot!
I lost $100.
Upstairs where I try what was MY Buffalo Deluxe game, until today put the final nail in our coffin of love.
I played some quarter Double Double Bonus video poker. I did better on Cleopatra Keno and doubled my remaining $100 on her. But then lost it all back in the close-to-$7000 Buffalo machine on my way back to my room.
Days like today are awful. I have nothing to show, no photos, no stories to tell, no wins to share.
Tomorrow is my last day working of this trip before I am free. That is the best part of today, knowing my vacation starts tomorrow.
