If you have somehow landed here and would like to start reading this Las Vegas trip report from the beginning, go HERE!
I am absolutely fucking exhausted. It doesn’t help that I am at Cosmopolitan burrowed into a marshmallow bed when my alarm goes off at the ridiculous hour of 5:00 AM. But I am able to get out of bed because gamblor + Starbucks that opens at 5:30.
Lost $200 in Buffalo Max before work. This would be not really okay normally but I played the last $100 at $7.50 which is less fun degenerate and more dangerous degenerate.
I am starving again mid morning so I go down to District Donuts. The line is insane. There are so many groups of people ahead of me. I had my phone with me which was good because I had to reschedule a work meeting while waiting in this line.
Once work was over, it is time to play! I love this fucking machine.
Then over to Buffalo Max again…
I cashed out and went to Walgreens to get some things for the room. Back to the room in time to see the sunset. I know this view is incredible but I also know it was hot as fuck and humid out there, so I didn’t enjoy sitting out there watching it.
I went back out a little after 9:00. Might not have, but had the closing time of Starbucks dictating my actions. Bring back 24 hour Starbucks DAMMIT.
I want to play MY Ultimate X machine but some guy is on it. I walk by to see how many credits he has in there. He has a bit over 1000 credits, and is playing quarters.
I sit down at Dancing Drums so I can keep my eyes on him. He is slapping the buttons and just being maniacal. He is going back and forth between 3 hands, 5 hands and 10 hands. He keeps pulling out his wallet and taking bills out and you can see on his face as he holds off on immediately putting the cash into the machine, he is making the decision on if he should stop…but doesn’t.
I was here for a very long time watching him. I was playing $.88 cents just to kill time waiting for this guy to leave. I am actually winning.
And then I WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN. Holy shit. $1,139.24. On an 88 cent bet. Are you fucking kidding me?
As the credits are adding up, the guy vacates my machine. I am frantic, pushing every button, hurry up, finish, I need to cash out and move before someone else sits at my machine hurry up let’s GO.
My machine wasn’t as nice to me as usual, probably because she was exhausted from that guy beating her up. But in the end, she came through.
I saw a new Shrimpmania. My mother’s favorite game was Lobstermania and she loved that he had a girlfriend named Sally. Sally though, hates me. probably because she was jealous of my mother. As she should be. You couldn’t hold a candle to her Sally you WHORE!
I lost $200 here.
Back to Buffalo Max. I love this fucking machine.
Back to the room again. I am rich. I have close to $2000. I do what any rich person would do and decide to let Cosmopolitan do my laundry. I call down to have 2 shirts and one pair of pants picked up. I am very happy they have someone who can do this at midnight. Now if I could just get Starbucks at midnight…
I price some flights out and consider extending again. I don’t know that I am willing to go home ever again. I decide to extend my trip by one day. I am not willing to go another full week just due to Boyd putting a cap on my comped nights (I have used 10 this month) and me not wanting to give CET anything. And if I stay there, I will absolutely play there, even if I swear not to. Any other comp options I have do not have enough consecutive days to make working from Vegas viable.
So now I still have 8 more days in Las Vegas.
Good night.
