Las Vegas: I Got a Royal Flush and A Weather Jackpot

Welcome to day 12 of this Las Vegas trip report.  If you want to start at the beginning, you can go HERE.

I am up naturally at at California at 4:30 AM.  Decide to gamble before work, always a great idea.

Over to Main Street Station to cash out my TITO from last night and of course, to play some more 50 cent Double Double Bonus video poker.  I lost $100 but I played a bit.  I love the casino on these early weekday mornings.  It is quiet.  There’s few people. I wonder about the people I do see.  Is that woman getting ordering beers from the cocktail waitress still up from last night?  Is that guy up because he lives on the East Coast and cannot sleep past 9:00?  What about that other guy?  Was that his suitcase in my room the other night?

I stopped to get Lapperts on my way back to my room.   The donuts are just being delievered now.  I need a donut.  The nice woman behind the counter was willing to dig through the boxes for me.  I told her to just grab whatever is in the top box.  Maple.  Meh.

Went to get a drink from the vending machine. I went in my pajams, no bra and wearing slippers.  Aaaaaaand I realized too late that I did not have my room key. Normally when I go to the vending machine, I bring a change purse full of all the change I have acquired on my trip, rather than my wallet.  Thankfully today for no reason at all, I had my wallet.  Which I needed to show my ID to get a new key.  I had to walk through the casino in my pajamas, no bra, wearing slippers.  No one batted an eye at me.

After work, I go downstairs and lose $200 on Moolah, I need to stop playing this.  I also lost $100 on quarter Double Double Bonus video poker.

I had dinner at Market Street Café.

Packed and headed to Cosmopolitan, by way of Paiute Smoke Shop.   I check in and get room 5998.   I arrived at the perfect time and have a gorgeous view awaiting me.

I didn’t take any room photos because I feel like they are just the same photos over and over.  The only real difference this time was that I found a huge stash of Target shopping bags leftover from a previous guest.

The iPad in here is malfunctioning.   Cosmopolitan has a “text Rose” thingy where you text a robot with any issues.  I know I had turned her off in the past and I cannot get it to work.  Fuck it, who cares.  Except now any chances of ordering room service while working are dead.   Meh.

I really should go to bed but my favorite Ultimate X machine is here so I do not.  I run to her.  She is in an odd spot where you cannot tell if she is taken until you are right there.  Every time I spot her open, I literally run the last few feet to make sure no one grabs her.

First session on my baby and she gives me a Royal.  On dimes.  What a sweet lady.

She also gave me multiplied 2s with a Kicker. I love her.

On my way back to my room, I spot a Buffalo Max slot machine.  LET ME AT HER.
I love this game so much but it is a degenerate’s dream.  I would find myself playing $7.50 every time I was over $100, but under $150. This means I am not cashing out every time I am between $100 and $150.  And as you can see from the photos, the $7.50 bet did not give me the best return. Still though, despite degenerate, I ended up being up $1500 tonight.

Nights like this in Vegas are so magical.  I had my full day before showing up at Cosmopolitan to sleep.  I could have just went to bed.  But instead, over the course of maybe about an hour, I had a fantastic gaming session and won $1500.  I fucking love Las Vegas.

I went back to my room and discovered this night is still not done with me.

I have always wanted to have a rainstorm going on when I was staying at Cosmopolitan.  If you have been reading my trip reports for years, you might recall I used to feel like rain was my good luck charm. Maybe not so much in recent years as climate change means rain is no longer such a rarity in the desert.  But still, I love the rain.

Tonight I got rain on my Cosmopolitan balcony.

I also got lightning!  Holy shit this was so awesome!

I have a million videos and if I do not survive my job’s layoffs next week, I will spend my newly free time learning how to edit videos to make a supermix of lightning over the Las Vegas Strip.

But for now, I am inside this trip report, which means I need to go to bed so I can get up for work tomorrow.

Keep them coming. I love reading these in batches. I thought you were Asian but you referred to yourself as white a few post before. I hope you don’t mind me asking what do you do for a living?
