Las Vegas: From Cosmopolitan to California Hotel

Day 16 of Las Vegas trip report continues as I am up at 8:00 AM at Cosmopolitan.  I am pretty bummed I missed sitting outside on my balcony as the sun rises.  Oh well, maybe next time.

I grab some Starbucks and get to playing.  My favorite Ultimate X video poker machine is back up. I turn a $100 bill into $160.  I want to keep playing but I have to go back up to the room to get ready to check out.

I pack and get ready to go.  On my way out of Cosmopolitan, I stop at my Ultimate X machine on my way out.  I am dealt Aces!

I wave bye bye to my baby and get in a Uber for the last hotel of this trip:  California.

I get room 2238 and of course, the safe is locked.   Yeagh.  I don’t do anything about it because I have zero patience to wait for anything to be fixed.  I hate feeling trapped in my room waiting.  So I say fuck it, let’s take a gamble and use the nightstand drawer to store my cash.

I didn’t get room photos this time for no reason.  If you want to see some, you can do so by looking at my last stay HERE.

I lost $20 on quarter Double Double Bonus video poker.  Then I head across the street to Circa.  I play Buffalo.  While I did have several chances to cash out, I took zero of them and lost $200.

I grab a burger to go at Victory Burger and am back in my room at 3:00.  Time for a nap, I am exhausted.

I am back out at 9:00 PM.

I walked over to Fremont Hotel to get some Dunkin Donuts.  I am actually boycotting this casino on this trip.  I had booked some nights here for this trip and ended up getting a phone call telling me my play didn’t warrant the comp so I would either have to cancel or pay for the rooms.  Oh no, fuck you.  I asked the guy if he was sure this was not a mistake because I did indeed go degenerate at California at the end of my next trip.  He is sure this is not a mistake.

My anger grows from when that phone call ended, up until the day I left, as I keep checking and I can still book comped nights here.  Both through offers I have here, and also through the “book for lowest rates” thingy on their website.  Why are you showing me comped night if I am not eligible?  And if I am not eligible, how was I able to book California?  TWICE during this trip.

But I can’t stop myself from breaking my boycott so I lost $60 on Cleopatra Keno and am even madder at myself than I was at Fremont.

Over to The D where I attempt to play SuperTimes Pay but it is a fucking dickwad machine that won’t let you play three hands on nickels.  Still I play it and of course, lost $100 on dimes.  I give it the finger before walking away.

Upstairs to MY Buffalo machine, which is still broken.  The buttons are stuck so you cannot play 2 coins per line.  So I am playing more money than I want per spin.  I did get a small bonus that turned my $20 free play into $40.   Girl, byeEEEEEEEEEEE.

I went to Walgreens to buy water.  Then over to Binions where I have $40 free play, which I lose.

And then lost another $60 of cash, just to make sure I am correct when I label myself as a big fat stupid dumb loser.

I went back to the room for a bit and went back out to play at midnight with $120.

I play quarter Double Double Bonus video poker and get 2s with a Kicker for $200 YAY!

Then some Buffalo where I leave up $100.

I stopped at Binions deli to get a burger to go.  The cook had his mask below his nose.  The burger just was nowhere near as good as in the café.

I am in bed at 1:10 AM.
