Las Vegas: I Love Chain Restaurants

Another day working from my hotel room in Las Vegas.  Linq morning room view.  I believe this room is considered Strip view because of the postage stamp sized view of Caesars.  I really miss the balconies.  It would be so great to open the balcony door and inhale the pigeon poop these balconies were always covered in.  Okay maybe I see why they removed them.  Also I don’t know that I have ever seen a flock of pigeons in Vegas?  Yet the balconies were coated in pigeon poop.

Linq now has Dunkin Donuts!  Of course they open after I start work, but they have mobile ordering so I am elated.  Dunkin at Linq does not take Total Rewards credits, which I find annoying since Starbucks does.  I don’t know if this is a Dunkin thing or not.  The ones in casinos in Atlantic City sure let you pay with comps 1-1.   Oh well.

After work, it was spa time!  I got a foot restore treatment.  I for some reason, agreed to do an aromatherapy add on and picked lavender. I have no idea why.  Lavender smells so gross and I was deeply inhaling it.  Like I paid to be able to do this but I hate it.  I want to ask her to stop but I feel stupid because I chose this.  I hate this.  Oh god I hate this.  Masks are still required in Vegas during this treatment so the mask is also soaking up this gross smell I hate it so much.

I noticed afterwards that they forgot to charge me for the add on so I won?

I had to go back to the room to burn the mask, only not really because burning it would make my room smell like burning lavender and I never want to smell lavender again.

I am exhausted and am trying to decide where to eat for dinner.  I remembered that the Linq Promenade has a Yard House restaurant.  I ate here in Denver and loved it so I am going to eat here too!   LOOK AT ME!  I AM PAYING FOR FOOD WITH CASH AND NOT COMPS, AND I AM DOING IT AT A CHAIN RESTAURANT!

Possibly you: OMG I would never eat a chain restaurant in Vegas.  Why not just eat it at home?

Definitely me: So…don’t?

Also side note, I don’t think people realize that people in America can actually live in places where there are not chain restaurants.  I live in Bensonhurst.  We are overflowing with restaurants that are not chains.  I do not have a Yard House restaurant by me.  The nearest one is in Times Square and I don’t live near Times Square. I have been to Vegas literally about 10 times since the last time I have been anywhere near Times Square.  As I am typing this, I am realizing that chances are pretty good I will never be at Times Square again ever for the rest of my life.

After eating, the logical choice would be to go and gamble.  But I don’t want to.  I mean, I want to.  But wouldn’t it be interesting to have one night ever in my entire life where I am in Vegas and do not gamble?  Mind you, tomorrow is my last day of work for this trip.  How great would it be to go to bed NOW and not have to crawl out of bed half dead in the morning?

OH COME ON, of course I gambled.  And lost some money and got into a cat fight with MY Buffalo machine here.  I won nothing because she is a complete jerk.  At least I did not go degenerate?

And with that, good night!
