Las Vegas: Last Day of a 25 Day Trip

If you have somehow landed on this page and would like to read this Las Vegas trip report from the beginning, you can go HERE.

Last day of this 25 night trip begins at Fremont hotel.  This was the longest trip I have taken.  I don’t know if I will do this again.  Since this trip, I did have a 21 night trip but there was so much WORK in there that I didn’t enjoy it.  My next trip has zero work and I could not be happier.

I slept horribly last night, probably because once this trip ends, there will be JUST work whiiiiiiine.

I am up and out at 7:30 AM.  First up, Ultimate X.

Then single line Ultimate X.

I went over to Binions for breakfast.  Then back to the room for a nap, even though it is my last day.  I got woken up by security doing a room check. I could not open the door because I was not dressed and he said he needed to see a face.  Yeargh.  So I did some gymnastics to show only my face.

I went over to California to play Buffalo Legends.

I am absolutely not allowed to play dollar video poker at California. I am not allowed to play it anywhere, but most especially not at California.  Their progressives are around $7000 every trip I take here and I never hit one, I never even get quads, and someone who is not me hits the royal every time.

So obviously, I play anyway.  I lost a few hundreds here with nothing to show for them whoops?

I did play quarters on my way out.
Lunch, just like dinner, was at Binions Cafe.  I could move to Vegas and live off my Binions comps for  a month.

Back to Fremont where I lost on: Cleopatra Keno, Buffalo, Dancing Drums, Ultimate X and for good measure, I also lost on Wheel of Fortune.

I went upstairs to pack and head to the airport.  I don’t want to go home ever.  At least I get to lay down on the plane as I am flying JetBlue Mint.

Some thoughts about this trip:  I guess this is not specific to THIS trip, but all trips going foward, I cannot work from Vegas anymore. I hate it.  I bet I do it again and I bet I complain again.  It is just too easy though. Why wouldn’t I go and take advantage of offers and go eat comped dinners instead of working from my dining room table for 3 years.  But I need to go to Vegas solo and not with my job in my backpack.

Some thoughts about my next trip:  All this constant typing about Vegas over the past 51 days straight, has really made me bored with myself.  I always feel like I am boring, but this really pushed me past my limits.  Oh blah blah blah played Buffalo and won or lost and YAY or BOO.  Thank you to anyone who actually reads these and finds joy in them.

Some thoughts about my blog:  I had a goal that I started back 51 days ago where I vowed to post every single day for a minimum of 100 days.  I started with Vegas because I had sooooooo many drafted Vegas posts that it would be easier to just finish those.  But I need a break from it because I am Vegased out and it is making me not want to work on my next trip’s itinerary because I am bored of all the minutia.  Mind you, I still have literally about 20 Vegas trips that have never appeard on this blog, that I would like to get up eventually.

I am going to take a break from Vegas but still continue my “I will post every day!” goal and starting tomorrow, I’ll be talking about something different before I come back refreshed.  If you are looking to read more Vegas stuff, HERE is a list of all the trip reports I have up.

Thanks for reading!

When a person loves Vegas they enjoy reading every tiny little detail. To us you are not boring and I looked forward to every day’s adventures. I will look forward to all of your future posts, they bring me to Vegas without the airfare. Thanks for taking the time to post all the fun or not.

I missed your TR’s this year and could you leave a few wins for some of us stragglers? Lol

Thanks for the wonderful reports, I now have a few more room options to consider on my next visit to Vegas.

I should have a new post up tomorrow. It has been so long since I posted about other places that I forgot it is actually work to research to make sure you have the correct spelling and names for things. Whoops?

I’ve been following you for more years than I care to remember — from the days of your Mom in AC and your sister in LV. Promise you are never boring — 25 days later and I was sad to see it end.

Ok. I finished your report today, so I can make my final post comments.

You feel you’ve become repetitious on these reports. You may have a pattern to your activities, but the way you write still makes it as interesting as your first report. We don’t read these reports just to hear win/loss stats. We read because you make it fun to read. As always, this was a great report on a fun trip.

I think that was enough serious talk from me for today. Thanks again, have a great time on your next adventure, and I hope the rest of the year treats you well. So long….

Sorry. I forgot one thing. Your $100 tip at Starbucks was one of the nicest things I’ve heard in a long time. I was right; you really are something else.

What incredible resolve you have, to post all these details even though a long period has often elapsed. Like many others, I very much appreciate your humour and candour. Respect.
