Las Vegas: Nothing to Play at Four Queens!

If you somehow wound up here and would like to start reading this Las Vegas trip report from the beginning, go HERE.

Woke up at Cosmopolitan, late for work, probably due to being a gamblor of the degenerate family last night.

Down and lost $300 on Buffalo Max, before hitting Starbucks.  I stocked up on drinks here.  Trenta iced coffee, please!  Also Trenta Pineapple Refresher WITH WATER.  And the largest iced water you can give me.  YAY.

Then back to my room where I have a three hour meeting.  THREE HOURS. Would have loved taking it on the balcony but WiFi and mobile hot spots are too weak out here.   The mobile hot spot maybe because I am so high up?

At some point at the end of this meeting, we get an email from the company owner announcing layoffs are coming by the end of September.   So now I am not free due to this three hour meeting ending.  I am now being pinged by so many of my employees asking if they are being laid off.  I don’t know, I got the news the same way you did.  Yeargh.

Even though I am booked at Cosmopolitan tonight, I have to move tonight.   I packed my shit and stopped by Dancing Drums and MY Ultimate X video poker machine on my way out.

I let both machines know this is it.  I am leaving, I have my suitcase with me and will not be back.

Before leaving the room, I checked my balance on the television and there is zero.  How is this possible?  What about my laundry?  Or my iced coffee addiction?  Then I remembered my room offer came with $75 room credit.  Shit.  I have no fucking idea if I came anywhere near $75 because I wasn’t keeping track.  SHIT.  Oh well?

I take an Uber to Four Queens.  I get room 1844 in the South Tower.  I have no room photos except for the view.

I want to play at Four Queens because I love staying here but they are replacing the carpet and more than half the casino is blocked off.   I cannot find anything to play.  Any machines not blocked off are taken.

I played some really shitty machines just to play anything so I could earn my keep and I am winning nothing.   This sucks so bad because I really love staying here.  I am trying to play.  But I cannot play.

How fucking FRUSTRATING.

I get dinner at Magnolias.  They have an avocado melt in the menu, I have never noticed this before.  It is fantastic.

I still can’t find anything to play at Four Queens so I go play at Fremont.  Take THAT Four Queens!

On my way back to my room to go to bed, I stopped at Subway to get a super enormous fountain Vitamin Water.  This is my favorite thing at Four Queens.

Since this is such a short day, let’s continue with tomorrow in the same post.
I wake up at Four Queens at 4:19 AM.  I feel like I slept 27 hours.  This is the best sleep I have had since I got here.

I shower and get dressed, moving slowly because some places on the internet say Dunkin Donuts opens at 5:00 and others say 5:30. I would hate to be too early.

I play some dollar Double Double Bonus video poker and double my $100 bill with just full houses, straights and one flush.  Cool.

I take an iced coffee break during work and play at Fremont because I simply can’t play at Four Queens due to the carpet replacement.  It would really suck if I was fully established here.   Four Queens absolutely does not love me as much as I love her and my offers are so sporadic.  If they were not, and I could count on comped nights for every trip, I would be so fucking pissed off that there is nothing to play to keep it going.

Dancing Drums at Fremont:

After work, I try again to play at Four Queens.  I found a Wolf Run that was free.  I am doing that thing where I am completely fucking frustrated and want to play as fast as I can just to be done, so I play max credits.

That’s good enough for me.

Dinner is at Magnolias, another avocado club sandwich.  And good night.
