Las Vegas day six starts out at Fremont Hotel in beautiful Downtown Las Vegas. I can never talk enough about how much I love waking up here. It just feels so good. Looking out the window, seeing Vegas. Knowing how quiet it is. Thinking of all the people who are just crawling to bed after having a winning night. Fate moving around invisibly to possibly smile on me today. And then the iced coffee shortly in my future…
I am up at 7:30 and out at 8:30.
I lost $100 on Ultimate X video poker and then switched to Supertimes Pay video poker. I put in a $100 bill and went down and then back up before cashing out at $100. Sometimes wins like this feel better than an actual win. I love being saved.
I grab McDonalds for breakfast and am back in my room at 10:10 for a nap.
When I wake up again, I walk over to The D. I don’t know why I love playing here since points are shorted and I don’t even drink alcohol to make up for it. Thanks to Covid, every other machine at Long Bar is shut off. This unfortunately includes the machine that gave me Aces with a Kicker twice back in December, both times holding only one Ace. I sit next to her and pet her a bit before playing.
I hit for 7/9 on Cleopatra Keno for $100.
I went upstairs at The D to my favorite Buffalo machine and the buttons are wonky. I cannot play 2 credits per line because the stupid button doesn’t work. I don’t want to play anything else. Well I do WANT to play max bet. But I know I shouldn’t. So I leave agitated.
I grab some water from Walgreens and go back to the room for a bit. This is one of those days where I am well aware I need to have plans if I am staying Downtown. Or else all I do is go degenerate. Normally I travel all around locals casinos during Downtown stays since it is easy to get to any bus down here. But buses are barely running on schedule, they are packed, people are not wearing masks. It is just so miserable. There are so many things here that I used to love that just feel miserable now.
I went to Binions to play Buffalo Wonder 4 Tall Fortunes style. I got a four coin Super Games bonus for $106.60. It should have been more you asshole!
Back to Fremont to MY Cleopatra Keno / Double Double Bonus video poker combo machine. As I am playing I start remembering how last time, she loved giving me four of a kind 3s and oh hey.
I cash out and decide to try my new machine from last night. Oh yeah, this is one a good one.
I am now starving but there aren’t many food options at midnight. You used to be able to decide what you want to eat and go to a place that can feed your desires. Nowaways, you take what you can get based on the very few options that are open.
I ended up grabbing Subway to go. I don’t think I have ever been to the Subway at Four Queens before. It was a depressing experience. It was super hot inside and it was filled with large group of people who knew each other so PAR-TAY time at Subway. They were talking loudly, no mask (because inside a food establishment) and it just felt like Coronavirus central in there.
No, I don’t like fun. Thank you for asking.
After eating, I read some and then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
