Somehow, I am awake without an alarm at 4:30 AM at the Fremont hotel. Not sure how since I barely got any sleep because of the band playing on Fremont. I cannot wait to get away from it.
Beautiful sunrise. I love Las Vegas in the winter when there is snow in the background.
I went downstairs for iced coffee. I wanted to play MY Cleopatra Keno machine but they are emptying the bill thingies so Buffalo it is. I lost $100, then won $100 and decided to go back to Cleo. Mother fucker. She is not feeling well.
Back to Buffalo, lost another $100. Back to Cleopatra Keno and finally I can fucking play her. Lost $100.
It is 6:01 AM and I have lost $200. I guess I really do have no choice but to go to work!
I grabbed breakfast at McDonalds and went to my room for the first, but surely never last, work meeting of the day. I am sick of these meetings. When is my vacation starting DAMMIT.
More background snow!
During one of these bazillion soul sucking meetings, the fire alarm in my room starts going off. Uhhhhh, is that real? No announcements are following it. Fuck am I gonna die? The last time a fire alarm went off when I was in a hotel was at Planet Hollywood. You can read about that HERE if you should decide this is a topic that interests you.
I decide to go downstairs. There is no one and no smoke in the hallway so I take the elevator. Get off and no one seems to be acting as if there is a fire alarm going off in the hotel. I am down to act like it is not happening because I need to go over to California for a drawing anyway.
I get more Dunkin Donuts and make my way over to the Lucky Duck promo. You are each given a lucky duck and you pick a spot on a board and win prizes. I got 2500 points. This is not an excellent prize.
I played some Buffalo Legends. This game is going to be the death of me.
I grab a super huge water from ABC Stores, grab dinner at Binions and return to the room, obviously stopping to play some.
I don’t know why, but I play one of those Green Machine slots – dollar denomination. I hate these and dollars are not in my budget AND you have to play $5. I did turn $100 into $200 though.
I play some Cleopatra Keno and hit 7 balls for 320 quarters. This hit would be 400 quarters at Binions, but Boyd shorts the payoff. Still, a win is a win. I turn $100 into $229, the $9 is for tips.
Up next, I had a nice hit at Dancing Drums.
I am actually eager to go to bed so the morning will come faster. Tomorrow I am moving hotels so tonight is the last night the band playing on Fremont Street keeps me up all night. Good night Las Vegas!
