Las Vegas: Unintentionally Moving Hotels Twice in One Day

If you have somehow landed on this page and would like to read this Las Vegas trip report from the beginning, you can go HERE.

I wake up at 8:00 AM at Cosmopolitan today.  I am upset because I only have ten days left in this trip.  I am fully aware how insane this sounds.   Even more so today.  I typed up a bunch of this trip report months ago, before I crapped out.  As I am now actually pushing myself to post, it feels a bit much to have been writing for dayssssssss and still have 10 more posts to complete!

Today is my last day to take these photos!

I am out by 9:00 and on a mission for coffee. I wanted to try Milk Bar again for the short line but it is closed WHY GOD WHY.

I get Starbucks and go to MY Ultimate X video poker machine.  I am elated that she is open.   I am checking out later today so playing her this moring is the upmost important thing for me to do today.

She starts off slow and then picks up speed.
Love you Babe.

I go upstairs to grab my bag to check out.  I have the Bell Desk store my bags for me before I move hotels.

One last shot at Buffalo before I am out the door.
I head over to Planet Hollywood for breakfast to help use my comps.  I got a new Wyndham Rewars card earlier this year, which got me a bonus of 60,000 points.  I transferred 30,000 points (maximum transfer allowed) to CET to get $300 in comps.  I did not make Diamond this year so I won’t be staying at any CET properties next year.

I did not play here because I always lose here.

Over to Flamingo for SPAAAAAAAAAAAA.  I love their Happy Feet Remedy.  I have gotten this a few times.  The woman at check in asks me if I want her to use the credit card on file.  No, I want to use comps.  She asks me about a tip and I let her know I will pay the tip in cash.  She asks if I have enough comps to cover it or if it will be just partial comp.  I have enough to fully cover it. I give her my rewards card.  She does whatever she does, and charges my fucking credit card which I did not realize until later on.  When the spa was closed.  I am still mad about this 10 months later.  I only went here because of the comps!  I hate you.

After the spa, I played Buffalo.
I went to Linq to visit my Buffalo machine and she hated me today.

I took an Uber to pick my bag up at Cosmopolitan and head to Palace Station.

I love Palace Station.  I love it.  I love how it feels rolling your bag into the hotel.  I love Starbucks. I love the machines here. I love the rooms. I love everything. I love you.  I……wait what?!  What are you talking about?  My room is comped.

UGH.

I got an offer for 3 free nights, any nights in December except for New Year’s Eve.  The calendar showed comped. I booked it as comped.   Now they are trying to charge me casino rate for tomorrow night, a Saturday night on Christmas.  No way, fuck you.  I pull up my confirmation.  MOTHER FUCKER.  It does not show comped OR rate on the email confirmation.  It only lists the dates, zero mention of price.  I swear it was comped when I booked it, or else I never would have booked it.

A manager comes over and confirms I will be charged casino rate for tomorrow. Well then I am not staying tomorrow.  She cuts the reservation down to one night, for tonight.   I go upstairs with the intent of booking elsewhere tomorrow.  A last minute booking for a Saturday night Christmas stay.  I don’t even care if I have to pay for a room, I am not paying for a room HERE when I booked a comped night and am now being told it is casino rate.

Palace Station room:
I open my laptop and try CET to see if I can get a room tomorrow.   This is when I realize my comp balance is higher than I expected and I realize the Flamingo spa charge is on my credit card and not paid for with comps.  Anger rising.

It turns out that not only can I get a comped room at Planet Hollywood for tomorrow, I can get a room TONIGHT, comped.  So that’s what I am going to do. I was in my Palace Station room for about 7 minutes total.

One thing about this is that it reminds me why I like being Diamond at CET.  No resort fees, easy to get comped nights.  I am going to miss this next year.  Spoiler alert:  I did get Diamond next year (which is this year as I am typing this) from a Wyndham match.

Back to Planet Hollywood where not only was I earlier, but I am right across the street from where I stayed last night.  So that trip to Palace Station was really beyond unnecessary.

The line to check in makes me want to die.
I then remember that some Diamond check ins are open.  Is it open here?  YES!! I walk in the room and am instantly hit with silence.  It is so loud in the lobby.  There is no line in here and I have my keys in 30 seconds.  Off we go!

My room number is 3367 and not included on this sign.  Thankfully I picked the correct direction.
I have Strip view YAY.

I went downstairs for Starbucks.  Then attempted to play.   Remember earlier in the day when I was here but did not realize I would be staying tonight?  And I did not play because this casino hates me?  I should have kept that up.  I just kept losing and losing and losing and losing and losing.  Not even the kind of losing where you at least get to play.  The kind of losing where you just lose.

I grabbed dinner to go and ate in my room.   I have this leftover photo.  I have no idea what game this is or where I played it.
And good night!

So what do you think the deal was on the spa? Was she an idiot, or was she pissed that you were going to tip in cash?

I can’t think of any reason she would care how I was tipping, since she was not the one getting the tip. So I’ll say idiot.
