Up at 5:00 AM at Fremont, after a horrible night’s sleep. Live bands are back on Fremont, which I had not considered when booking this hotel to work from. The music went until 1:00 AM, and I have to be up at 5:00 AM for work. They will do that again every night this week. My bed was vibrating. I have stayed at Fremont a million times in my life but I have only worked from here during Covid. The bands were not playing prior to this trip because of Covid restrictions so I was not expecting this. I also honestly don’t remember this ever being an issue before Covid? Am I just that much older that the music is that much louder? I am going to suffer.
I spent way too much time trying to get the lighting in my room to make me not look like a blurry ghost on a morning video call with all of Leadership at work. I wasn’t too successful. Oh well?
I did like being up in time to see the sunrise. I cannot say enough times how much I love sunrise in Las Vegas. That feeling of a fresh, new day. The idea that anything can happen. Those first early morning steps in a quiet casino. The knowledge that if you have a heart attack from winning a million dollars, the paramedics will be able to reach you easier while the casino is still empty. Eye on the prize mother fucker!
