Las Vegas: Depressing Last Day of This Trip

If you randomly stumbled on this post and would like to read this Las Vegas trip report from the beginning, go HERE.

Up at Fremont at 7:00 AM to begin my last day of this trip.  I am depressed not only because it is my last day, but also because last night was one of those nights I could not get ANYTHING going.  Will today be like that too?  God I hate.

I am starting my day at Binions.  Look at how lonely this ATM is.  I hope I don’t have to spend some time with her at any point today.

I start off by losing money in Buffalo Legends.  Then some more in Buffalo Tall Fortunes.

I ended up with a $.03 TITO and put it in my bra for good luck.

Breakfast is at Binions.  My comps are down to almost $100.  I feel good about this.  The whole Covid thing sent me on a mission to use up my comps because they are MINE and you never know when you will not have a chance to use them.

From here, I went to Circa to use my free play.  Circa is the one casino I have found Buffalo Keno that is not at a bar, it is on the floor.  I lost my $45 pretty quickly.  Then I won $100 in Moolah but I have no photo of this.

I went to Starbucks and the line is sooooooooo long.  I tried going to the other one and the line was just as long.  Back to the one by Fremont where the line is even longer.  There are only 2 people working.  I was on the line for 41 minutes.  Yay last day.

Back to Fremont where I play my favorite Cleopatra Keno / Double Double Bonus video poker machine.  She gave me $80.  I love her.

I played some Buffalo and had a win.

The Dancing Drums machine that had been nice to me is kind of nice to me but not really.
I played at The D for awhile and could not get anything to connect.  I went so degenerate and NOTHING.

Back to the room to pack and take a nap.  You know if you are taking a nap on your last day, you are the ultimate loser.

Back out to Magnolias, where I will have my last meal of this trip.  They have avocado clubs, which they did not yesterday, so this is a win.

My last gamble in a casino was Ultimate X.  At least she was kind of nice to me.  She could have been nicer though.

And it is time for this trip to come to an end.

When I left, I had no plans to come back in 2022.  I had plans to spend 2 months in South America, beginning in October and ending with vacation the last 2 weeks.  Then my job did some massive layoffs and I was not sure if I was going to be cut.  Spoiler alert: I wasn’t.  But some of my peers were and it was scary.  My safety net for quite some time was my equity in the company but that is worth almost nothing now.  It seems irresponsible to do long trips now when I may wish I had those funds after the next layoff.

I have decided to do another trip to Vegas to close out this year and then next year, stay put in my apartment for as long as I can stand it, to be financially prepared should I be let go next time.

If you have made it through this entire report, thank you!  I am going to continue post-a-palooza and keep posting every day for the next 80-ish days.  You can keep up with my posts HERE.

Enjoyed your trip as usual! Love the way you write and live your life. I hope your job is stable because it gives you the flexibility to work remote. Crazy times we are living in!
