Las Vegas: Moving Back Downtown

If you have somehow landed on this page and would like to read this Las Vegas trip report from the beginning, you can go HERE.

I wake up at 10:00 AM at Sahara.  I have an appointment to get a massage today.  I want to blow dry my hair since I had added on a scalp massage, but there is no hair dryer in the room.

I got completely lost trying to find the Alexandria Tower. Well not so much lost as I did not walk far enough to find it and thought I was lost.  I asked a security guard to point me in the right direction and he kindly escorted me all the way.

The spa was great.  Isn’t it always?  I love scalp massages.

Afterwards, I got on the monorail.  This thing is so convenient only if you are staying at a hotel with a stop, and want to go to a hotel with a stop.  This sentence sounds stupid to anyone who is not familiar with the monorail, but makes perfect sense to anyone who is.

I am at Linq and someone is on MY Buffalo machine get out.  I lose $300 on other machines.  Then I decide to convert the rest of my points to free play.  The kiosk is not working.  I wait on the forever player’s club line and am told I have to do it at the kiosk.  But it is not working!  I walk around the fucking casino until I find one that works.  I am never coming here again.  I lose the free play and head back to Sahara to check out and move to The D.  On my way to the monorail, I throw out my player’s card because I am NEVER playing at a CET property ever again.

Of course, I have absolutely stayed and played at CET properties since then.

I played some Ultimate X video poker before checking out.  This machine is great.

At The D, check in is weird.  The woman checking me in looks up my reservation, gets a weird look on her face and has to go into the back.  Uh oh.   She comes back and gives me room 305.  I have never had such a low floor here before.

I go downstairs and activate my Las Vegas Advisor coupon for $5 free play per 50 points earned. I play through the free play that came with my offer and zilch.

I play my favorite machine at The Long Bar.  It is dumb for me to play here since these machines are $10 for one point, and since I don’t drink, I can’t even make up for it that way.  But there is a machine here that gave me Aces with a Kicker twice in one trip.  Both times holding only one Ace.  So I love her and will play her.  $100 turned into $140.

I played around The D and found a nice Cleopatra Keno who is not in a bank, and is all by herself.  The speed button doesn’t work so she is stuck on super fast.

Next stop: Vue Bar.  So many video poker players spend hours upon hours here.  I longingly read trip reports and see all the quads.  I never ever win here. I never get quads here.  I just pour tons of money in and am out of money in a few minutes. Every time.

I went to play MY Buffalo machine and OMG she is gone?!  Where did she go?  I walk around and examine every single inch of the entire casino looking for her.  She is gone.  GONE.  WHY.  This is injustice and I demand a refund.

Off to bed I go, good night.
