Las Vegas: Dead Bug in My Room, Live Dog in the Casino

Good morning day 9 of this Las Vegas trip!  If you somehow ended up here and want to start at the beginning, you can go HERE.

I am up at 7:00 AM.  I don’t even try to see what the line for the coffee kiosk replacing the Wynn Cafe, which is under construction and closed.   I do a mobile order from Urth Café.  I had never noticed this place before, although I knew it existed.  Turns out I never noticed it before because it is a million miles away.   Great coffee, albeit overpriced.

I lose some money in a Buffalo Luxury Line and then some more in Cleopatra Keno.

Fuck it, let’s keep going.  Quarter Double Double Bonus video poker, loser.

These machines were all paying me last night.  Today, nope.

I was able to play Moolah.  There’s only 2 of these machines here and they are normally taken. I can see why:

Las Vegas: Happy Birthday to ME!

Today is day 8 of this Las Vegas trip report.  If you somehow ended up here and want to start at the beginning of this trip report, you can go HERE.

Happy fucking birthday to me!  Here is the sunrise from my room at Fremont.

Plans for this morning were to play $100 in Buffalo Keno and then $100 at The D.   Well Bullfao Keno is all taken so instead, I just went degenerate and lost my morning budget without doing either.

At least the machines wish me a happy birthday.

Las Vegas: Birthday Eve Unicow!

Good morning day 7 of this trip!  If you somehow ended up here and want to start at the beginning, you can go HERE.

if you read yesterday’s trip report, you know that I spent the day playing all the same machines I have been playing for years and years and years.  This can make for a boring trip report, and also a boring real life experience, especially when you do not get a million dollar win for your efforts.  I decided that today, I will play only machines I have never played before.

I have absolutely no idea what the name of this machine is:

Las Vegas Birthday Trip Report: The One Where I Am on Vacation!

Welcome to part 5 of this Las Vegas trip report!  If you are lost and want to start at the beginning, go HERE.

Day 5 in Las Vegas.  More importantly, day OFF in Las Vegas.  No work for me!  I am up at 8:30 and a happy to be free.

I slowly go about getting ready.  I am starving but I am out of reward credits. I don’t want to pay for food so I just get iced coffee to hold me over until I move Downtown today.

I put 5 $100 bills in Buffalo and leave with $500.

Las Vegas Spa Day!

Welcome to day 4 of this trip report.  If you are lost and want to start at the beginning, go HERE.

Work up at Paris on day 4 for yet another shitty shitty shitty shitty shitty day at work.  I crawled out of bed to stand online forever for iced coffee.  I am exhausted.  Because I am exhausted, little tiny insignificant things annoy me.  You order coffee at Cafe Belle Madeleine at the register and pick up at a counter near the entrance/exit.  But the creams and sugars are all the way back near the cashier.  So you order, walk towards the exit to get your coffee, then back to where you just were……I mean this whining is so stupid and dumb and useless. It is not far at all.  But exhausted and so many people and “excuse me, excuse me, EXCUSE ME” followed by dirty look by the person who thinks you are an asshole for screamng EXCUSE ME at them.  But I had to because you didn’t fucking hear me the first two fucking times.  Yargh.

I worked all day without a break.  Then once it was time to log off, the work texts began coming in.  My manager posted my birthday is this weekend and I have people texting me to wish me a happy one. This is nice, but my phone going off for work related things is really making me anxious.  I need a fucking break.  Good thing I am off the next five days.

Las Vegas Trip Report: Work is For Jerks

Welcome to day three of this trip report.  If you are lost and want to start at the beginning, go HERE.

Oh what a shitty day.  Woke up at Paris on day 3, somewhat on time for work.

Sunrise:

There needs to be a law about lines for food at 6:00 AM.  If your line has more than 2 people in it at 6:00 AM, you need to open another line.  The line at Cafe Belle Madeleine is so long.  Cafe Americano is open, but their comps redemption is 2-1, so fuck you.

Work work work all day like a jerk.  I hate working from Vegas.

I went out with $300 – did great on Buffalo. I missed taking one photo but have these:

Somehow actually I woke up at all.  Not as exhausted as I should be.  I forgot to pack face wash, but I am checking into Paris tonight so I can just go to CVS.

I am at New York, New York.  Starbucks opens at 6:00 so I go down around 5:30 to play my way over there.  It was already open but I wanted to play so…

Dancing Drums, MAJOR bonus pick!  Holy crap. $829.69:

Las Vegas 51st Birthday Trip Report!

Ahhhhhhhh yes.  I am flying to Las Vegas for my birthday.  This was supposed to be a quick long weekend trip.  Then I added some days.  Then some more.  Then spoiler alert: I added even more when I was there.  I think this was a 4 night trip that ended up being 21?  Whoops?

I have a flight at 6:13 AM.  I have so much JetBlue credit that is finally expiring so I had more than enough to overpay for a Mint flight so I did that.   When I booked, rows 2 and 4 were filled.  2 had one open seat late at night on the 30th, so I nabbed it woo hoo, total privacy!

I rarely fly early so here are some photos from the plane that I normally cannot get.

Through The Years: Wynn and Encore Las Vegas

Ah yes, Wynn.  I am now more seasoned than I was during my first trips.  Back then, everything was new, so I didn’t really have an idea of what was actually new.  There was construction everywhere.  Look at this photo from Bellagio back in 2005.  There’s Wynn going up!

Desert Inn sat on the current site of Wynn.  I don’t recall ever going inside.  I know I must have passed it on my Strip walk on my first trip, but that walk is very hazy.

Desert Inn from my room at Stardust:
